Discovering Manitowish Waters’ Unique Environmental Legacy

November 14, 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Diverse environmental stewardship and conservation are strong traditions that began during the earliest days of Manitowish Waters. Beginning in 1912, with the opening of the first forest ranger stations in the state, and continuing today with local fish management efforts, discover how the small community of Manitowish Waters has emerged as both a state and national leader in conservation efforts. This presentation has been updated with new images and information.
