Jim Bokern will share a robust presentation on the Earliest Pioneers of Manitowish Waters, featuring 11 first families who arrived before 1900. These early families shared an amazing work ethic, a love of the Northwoods, and a dedication to building our community.  Newly discovered research, images and documents regarding Manitowish Water’s earliest pioneers will be explored.   Importantly, these early pioneer’s stories and legacies help both visitors and residents understand how our community took shape.
