Join local historian Jim Bokern from the Manitowish Waters Historical Society and a Discovery Center Naturalist on two historical hikes exploring Vance Lake, the Manitowish River and the administrative CCC Camp known as Camp Mercer. We will explore a mysterious logging site, river drive logging booms, a resort site on state leased land and archaeological remnants of Camp Mercer. This is a moderately challenging hike that includes both on and off trail hiking.  Pre-register by 11/5.   $40 ($35 members of the NLDC or MWHS).
