Biennial Report to the State Conservation Commission 1935-36-Map of State Fish Hatcheries including Rest Lake

Click on the link below to review an excerpt from the Biennial Report to the State Conservation Commission 1935-36.  This document has a map of all fish hatcheries in the state.  Due to the Great Depression, community fish hatcheries were allowed by the state, and Vilas County had the largest number of these community/private hatcheries.  The Rest Lake hatchery was just below the dam (yellow arrow on the image below) on Vance Lake.
