Friday, July 10, 2026, Morning Tour:  9:00 am – 11:30 am

Join historian Kay Krans of the Manitowish Waters Historical Society on our comfortable pontoon boat touring the famous Manitowish Waters Chain of Lakes.  On this tour about gangsters in the Northwoods, you will learn how local citizens got involved in the liquor trade and were able to supply bootleg alcohol to Chicago and Minneapolis. Hear the story about the kidnapping of Minneapolis mob boss Leon Gleckman and the place the kidnappers hid him. Ralph Capone has a Manitowish Waters story as well. John Dillinger and his gang were not only at Little Bohemia but made themselves known to several families as they were trying to escape the FBI trap. Join us for a 2.5 hour tour and enjoy the stories and beautiful scenery.
