Outers Recreation: Fishing Grounds of Rest Lake 1918

The link below contains another excellent article from the 1918 from Outer’s Recreation on Manitowish Waters. The description and map of Rest Lake is the most detailed from the era. The reference to the “Dead Jungle” of trees at the north end of Rest Lake is particularly revealing of the impact of the dam. The map has campsites, cottages, an Indian Camp on the Ilg property and much more.
