Join Manitowish Waters Historical Society guides and NLDC naturalists as we journey along paths that link centuries of Northwoods histories. Departing from North Trout Lake while following the traditional Ojibwa portage linking the Chippewa and Wisconsin rivers, we will discover historic railroads, homesteads, and an early cranberry farm. We will learn the natural history along the route and the impact of the Youth Conservation Corps on area trails and natural resources.

This 3.5-mile moderate hike will be mostly on trails with some uneven ground and brush.
