Plum Lake Hemlocks Hike

Friday: 10:30 am – 5 pm
Join local historian and guide Jim Bokern and a North Lakeland Discovery Center naturalist on a fascinating hike through history in the Plum Lake Hemlocks Forest State Natural Area. We will explore the Milwaukee Road Railroad, state leased land, and the people that lived in this area over a century ago and walk in their footsteps. This is an off trail, moderately strenuous four- to five-mile hike with one wetland crossing. Bring lunch and water.
Space is limited, so please register early; $50 ($40 for members of the NLDC or MWHS). Register at the North Lakeland Discovery Center (www.discoverycenter.net). For more information, contact the NLDC (715-543-2085 or at [email protected]).
Directions to the trailhead will be shared after registration.
